The story of Kristi and Luke's wedding location began in the 1990s when Kristi's grandparents purchased their beach condo in Juno Beach, creating a cherished summer haven for generations of family memories. Growing up, Kristi developed a deep connection to the ocean, spending countless hours snorkeling, collecting seashells, and learning to surf along the shoreline under her parents' watchful eyes. As an adult, her remote work allowed her to spend extended time at the condo, strengthening her bond with the area and nurturing dreams of a future wedding there.

None of this would be possible without her loving grandparents. While Papa Shogren will be in attendance to celebrate their big day, Kristi and Luke said a heartfelt goodbye to Grandma Shogren in January 2024. Though her absence is deeply felt, Kristi knows Grandma will be watching over them, cheering on the future Donahues as they “make their own good time.” Long live Mary Lou Shogren—her memory will forever be a part of this special place and celebration.

When planning their wedding, Kristi and Luke were naturally drawn to Jupiter, seeing it as the perfect backdrop that represented their shared love for the ocean while honoring Kristi's deep family connections. The choice of Jupiter's Pelican Club not only fulfilled Kristi's dream wedding vision but also offered their friends and family a meaningful getaway destination that perfectly embodied their story.
